From 31 July to 2 August 2015, returns to San Ginesio (MC) the International Folklore Festival “Il Balcone dei Sibillini”, now in its 8th edition.
Organized by the Municipality of San Ginesio, the Pro Loco and theStaphilè Cultural Association, in partnership with www.youfolklore.com and www.italiawim.it, "Il Balcone dei Sibillini" brings dancers and musicians from different countries of the world to the enchanting medieval village again this year.
From Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August, in the central square "Alberico Gentili" of San Ginesio, a town awarded the Orange Flag and recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, 2 delegations from Eastern Europe, one from South Africa, take the stage and one from Taiwan.
The Serbian group "Tent" and the Bosnian group "Mladost" will be guests of the country for about a week in which they will be able to enjoy the local beauties, taste the typical food of the area, learn more about the lifestyle of the Marche and Ginesino in particular and at the same time offering the inhabitants of San Ginesio, the numerous tourists and the patrons of the Festival a unique opportunity to confront themselves with other customs and cultures.
The South African Group and that of Taiwan, which will be guests of the Festival "International Folklore Meeting – ethnic groups" of Matelica, partner for years of "the Balcony of the Sibillini", will spend two days in San Ginesio and will perform together at other formations in order to offer the ginesino festival international atmosphere.
"The balcony of the sibillini" is just one of many events in the Bill of the summer ginesina which provides, even in the days of the International Folklore Festival, numerous opportunities for recreation and fun for young and old.
The Festival performances will begin at 21.30, admission is free and many will be seating for anyone who wants to participate.
