La festa del maja is an ancient rite Croat that marked the transition between winter's spring revival. Maja is represented by a young man and strong that you put on him, for this purpose, a puppet made of straw and flowers, followed by a festive throng that launches into traditional dances and songs in which the public gives first fruits of the Earth as a reward.
