Fried dumplings is a typical name in the provinces of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Bologna is a typical Italian food product, whose name varies from one area to another. In the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia is called simply fried dumplings or gnòc frett from local dialect.
In much of the province of Parma is called torta fritta and province of Ferrara is called pinzino. In Bolognese is most commonly called fried Scones. Piacenza is traditional Northeastern area, where it is known with the term dialect of chisulén (Italianized in chisolino).
In the province of Reggio Emilia the term dumpling, fried not baked flatbread with bacon pieces, indicates a widespread pork. Critical to both add the attribute "fried" indicating a product quite different.
