On June 20, 2015 the Saracen Joust, the main historical re-enactment of the city of Arezzo. The event takes place twice a year: on the penultimate Saturday of June in a night edition (Carousel of San Donato) and the first Sunday of September in the daytime edition (Carousel of the Madonna del Conforto). The knightly tournament attracts thousands of visitors who, fascinated by the historical procession, flock to the city streets. Encouraged by hundreds of people in medieval costumes and dozens of horses, punctuated by the blaring of trumpets and inebriated by the colors of the flags, the procession is capable of making the city experience a dive into the past and immersing the people of Arezzo and tourists in a singular and festive atmosphere.
